At least 12 killed in suicide bombing at police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan
At least 12 people were killed and 30 wounded in a suicide bombing at a roadside police checkpoint in Pakistan's northwestern Dera Ismail Khan district, according to police. The blast hit near Aman Mela in the Darazinda area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. Police said most of those killed and injured were security personnel, with passersby also among the casualties.Local police chief Safdar Baloch said the injured included police officers, customs personnel and two civilians.
