UN warns aid cuts have cut off support for one million women and girls
The United Nations has warned that at least one million women and girls have lost access to critical support because of sharp cuts to foreign aid spending since January 2025. In a new report, UN Women said the reduction in funding is accelerating the collapse of women-led organisations in crisis settings.
