The latest UNESCO report shows a disturbing trend of rising global educational exclusion, with 273 million children and youth out of school , one in six of the world’s school-age population. Progress made over the past twenty years, including increased enrollment, has stalled and reversed in many regions. Sub-Saharan Africa, in particular, is facing a severe decline in school attendance caused by ongoing conflicts and rapid population growth.
