UK Counter Terrorism Police Make Further Arrest in Jewish Community Attacks Probe

On 26 April 2026, Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) officers arrested a 37-year-old man near Barnstaple, Devon, on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. The suspect was taken to a London police station for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of attacks on premises associated with the Jewish community in north west London.

This investigation also covers related incidents including an attack on a Persian-language media organisation and the discovery of jars containing a non-hazardous substance in Kensington Gardens. CTP London is working closely with Metropolitan Police officers, providing protective security advice to numerous organisations, community venues, and businesses affected by recent arson attacks.

Since the initial attack on Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green on 23 March 2026, a total of 26 arrests have been made in connection with the case. Eight individuals have been charged specifically with arson-related offences, and one person has been convicted of arson.

The investigation remains active, with ongoing operational efforts to secure the impacted communities.
