UK updates sanctions list with new designations and delistings related to Sudan

The United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued a series of sanctions notices during the first quarter of 2026, updating the UK Sanctions List concerning Sudan-related individuals and entities. These notices, published on 28 January, 5 February, and 25 February 2026, include new designations, revocations of previous sanctions, delistings, and corrections.
The sanctions measures continue to reflect the UK's adherence to the United Nations sanctions regime relating to Sudan, as established under the Sudan (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020. This legal framework enables the designation of individuals and entities involved in specified activities outlined by the UN regime.
Each notice provides detailed information about persons and entities added to or removed from the list, including seven-page PDF documents with official documentation. The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation manages previous official notices predating these updates.
These ongoing adjustments to the sanctions list maintain the UK's compliance with international obligations targeting persons and organizations connected to matters relevant to Sudan's situation.
