US Federal Agencies to Host Webinar on Child Online Safety May 7

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts is organizing a virtual webinar scheduled for May 7, 2026, to address online safety for children. The event specifically targets threats faced by youth on social media platforms, in gaming environments, and from sextortion schemes.

Federal agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) will provide expert presentations. Topics will also include emerging extremist threats and the implications of generative artificial intelligence in online environments.

The webinar will feature live Q&A sessions, enabling participants to engage directly with subject matter experts. Additionally, attendees will gain access to educational resources designed to further enhance awareness and preventive measures against digital risks for children.

This coordinated effort by multiple federal agencies highlights the ongoing focus on protecting minors from a broad spectrum of online dangers through community engagement and information dissemination.
