Meloni condemns arson attack on reporter Adriano Cappellari in Enego
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has condemned what she described as a very serious arson attack against reporter Adriano Cappellari at his home in Enego last night. In a statement, Meloni said threatening a reporter who chooses to shed light on challenging situations like Caivano and on the work of people such as Don Maurizio Patriciello is unacceptable.

She called the attack an intolerable assault on freedom of the press and information. Meloni said she is sure Cappellari will not allow himself to be intimidated and will continue his work as he has done until now.
She added that Italy needs brave young people like him who are not afraid to speak out and document things that are not working in an effort to change them and make society fairer and stronger. Her statement also extended thoughts to Cappellari, his family and his colleagues at the L'Altopiano newsroom.
The source does not provide details on damage, injuries or arrests.
