Mozambique says five citizens killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa
Mozambique has said five of its citizens were killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa over the weekend, in violence that affected about 800 Mozambican nationals in Mossel Bay. The incident took place in the southern coastal city on Friday and has prompted an official repatriation effort for those still in the country. Mozambican officials said the remaining affected citizens were being sheltered in the Western Cape Province while arrangements were made for their return.
