Iran plans three-day state funeral for Ali Khamenei after February war deaths
Iran has announced plans for a three-day state funeral for Ali Khamenei, the country's former supreme leader, more than three months after his death in the February attacks that triggered war in the Middle East. The ceremonies are expected to take place in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad, with burial planned in Mashhad. Officials said the funeral had originally been scheduled for 4 March but was postponed because of the war.
