UN envoy intervenes in Australia's Woodside North West Shelf court challenge

A United Nations special rapporteur has intervened in three Federal Court challenges to Australia's decision to extend Woodside's North West Shelf gas project by 40 years. The submissions were filed on 3 June and will be considered when hearings resume in July. The case centres on whether climate impacts were properly taken into account when the extension was approved.
