A Republican member of the US House of Representatives has called for a new investigation into Israel's 1967 attack on the USS Liberty, a US Navy ship that was struck during the Six-Day War. Thomas Massie used a speech on the House floor to urge the government to reopen the case and to recognise the ship's survivors. The remarks came on the 59th anniversary of the attack and were delivered in the presence of survivors.
