Magnitude 6.1 quake off western Cuba shakes Havana and sends tremors into Florida

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck offshore western Cuba on Monday, shaking buildings in Havana and prompting reports of tremors across parts of Florida. The quake was centred in waters west of Havana at a depth of 10 km, according to the US Geological Survey. No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
