U.S. prosecutors file 107 border-related cases in Southern California

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of California filed 107 border-related cases this week. Attorney's Office said the filings cover charges including bringing in aliens for financial gain, reentering the United States after deportation, and importation of controlled substances.

The office described the Southern District of California as the fourth-busiest federal district, saying the workload is largely driven by a high volume of border-related crimes. The district covers San Diego and Imperial counties.
