SEWA said the work began in March 2026 and is expected to be completed by November 2026. Engineer Faisal Al Sarkal, Director of SEWA's Water Department, said the project aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide advanced and sustainable infrastructure.

Al Sarkal said the project is intended to expand water supplies to new areas and meet growing demand linked to Sharjah's urban and economic development. SEWA said the network is being built with modern, environmentally friendly materials, with the aim of maintaining water quality and reducing water losses.

The authority said implementation is progressing according to schedule and that it continues to upgrade water networks across Sharjah using smart and sustainable solutions.
