Mexican national sentenced in Oklahoma for unlawful reentry

The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma said Luis Alberto Garcia, 64, a Mexican national unlawfully present in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, was sentenced in Muskogee to time served for one count of unlawful reentry of a removed alien. Prosecutors said Garcia pleaded guilty to a felony indictment on September 2, 2026.

The office said investigators determined that Garcia was found in the United States on August 17, 2026, without obtaining the express consent of the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission. According to the announcement, Garcia had previously been removed from the United States on May 30, 2008.
