Trump renews push for permanent daylight saving time, citing safety and crime concerns
President Donald Trump made multiple posts on Truth Social in the last hour: - "I don't know about anyone else, but a table full of very distinguished people just told me that they HATE, immediately after a mandatory time change, going home at night, and it's DARK. One of the gentleman stated that, "I just hate going home in darkness." It's also, in Crime Ridden Blue States, a lot more dangerous to be walking home in the dark!" - "Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill.

It's called, "The Sunshine Protection Act" or, "We Don't Want to Change Our Clocks Twice a Year Act." For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it's very easy to do, it only takes one! It should pass overwhelmingly, in a Bipartisan fashion.
So, everyone in Arkansas, a State I love, and won 3 times, the last by by 34 points, tell Tom to, GET IT DONE! Nobody wants to spend their precious time running all over the place, turning Clocks back twice a year and, having sunshine in the afternoon is better than early in the morning!
The PGA TOUR, as an example, needs more Daylight in the afternoon in order to finish their Tournaments. Likewise, regular Golfers, Tennis Players, Hunters and, perhaps most importantly, Farmers who want more Daylight to play or work.

See letter from Brian Rolapp, CEO of the PGA TOUR below. 65% PLUS want more sun in the afternoon, Daylight Saving Time (The way it is now!), but 100% don't want to change their Clocks twice a year.
They want to, as they say, "LOCK THE CLOCK!" Who doesn't? It's very expensive for our Nation where you have high and dangerous steeples to reach, like on churches and municipal buildings.
Almost everybody wants "The Sunshine Protection Act" to pass, except for Tom Cotton. To the Great People of Arkansas, please let your Senator know it would be a GREAT Bipartisan WIN for the United States Senate, and for America, itself.
Call Tom on his cellphone at, 479-453-0533, and let him know. "The Sunshine Protection Act" was passed in the House by a Vote of 308 to 117.

TRUMPhttps://swampthevoteusa.com/" - "If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I'm going to give all Adult Citizens in the United States of America, $5, 000. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!" The main geopolitical signal is the push for permanent daylight saving time, framed as a public safety and quality-of-life issue, but it is domestic rather than external policy.
The likely near-term impact is pressure on Senate Republicans, especially Tom Cotton, and renewed attention to the Sunshine Protection Act, which already passed the House in 2022 but stalled in the Senate. Historically, Congress has periodically debated locking the clock because of energy, health, and commerce arguments, but the issue has repeatedly failed to clear the Senate due to regional and political objections.
The post also folds in campaign mobilization messaging and a large cash-payment promise tied to Republican control of Congress in 2026, which is a political signal rather than an immediate policy move. The practical market or diplomatic impact is limited, but the safety framing, especially the claim about walking home in darkness and crime in blue states, is designed to create urgency and build pressure for legislative action.
There is no direct foreign policy or military implication in this batch, so the main significance is domestic agenda-setting and election positioning.
