Qatar Red Crescent Distributes Thousands of Meals and Dates in Ramadan Aid Drive

The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched its 'Keep Your Balance Of Good Deeds Alive Ramadan Campaign 1447 AH,' providing food and support to vulnerable communities during Ramadan. Volunteers have distributed 350 snack meals daily at Doha’s Katara Cultural Village, targeting visitors and drivers during the Maghreb iftar period. This effort marks the third consecutive year of the initiative with the help of Lulu Hypermarket.
In addition to meal distributions, QRCS extended its aid by delivering 21 tons of dates to expatriate workers and others in need across multiple locations. These efforts aim to promote social cohesion and solidarity among displaced populations and labor communities facing hardship during the holy month. The campaign contributes essential relief to thousands amid ongoing regional challenges of poverty and displacement.
The scale of aid delivery highlights QRCS's role as a key humanitarian actor in the region, impacting an estimated 4,500 to 11,950 individuals through food and welfare initiatives. This assistance is vital for maintaining community morale and support during Ramadan, especially for displaced and low-income groups.
The campaign also underscores the continuing need for humanitarian programs in countries grappling with economic and social difficulties. QRCS's targeted Ramadan initiatives help sustain vulnerable groups, promoting peace and stability through charitable action during a period of religious significance.
