UAE Air Defenses Intercept 10 Missiles and 45 Drones Launched from Iran

On March 17, UAE air defense forces intercepted an aggressive barrage of 10 ballistic missiles and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran. This latest wave is part of ongoing hostilities since the beginning of Iranian missile and drone strikes targeting the UAE.
Since these attacks commenced, UAE defenses have engaged a total of 314 ballistic missiles, 15 loitering projectiles, and 1,672 drones. The intensified missile and drone campaign has inflicted casualties, including the martyrdom of two UAE military personnel and the deaths of six civilians from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine. Additionally, 157 people suffered injuries of varying severity.
These attacks have significant security implications, threatening regional stability and civilian safety. The UAE government has emphasized its readiness to counter any further threats and stressed a firm commitment to preserving the country’s territorial integrity and protecting its diverse population.
