UK Advises Against Travel to Parts of Egypt Citing Security Risks
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has issued new travel advisories restricting visits to several high-risk areas in Egypt due to security concerns. The advisory prohibits all travel within 20 kilometers of the Egypt-Libya border except for essential travel in El Salloum. It also bans travel to the entire North Sinai Governorate, and limits travel in northern South Sinai, Ismailiyah Governorate, and certain western Nile regions.
