Ex-Transnational Crime Leader Pleads Guilty to Continuing Criminal Enterprise in Puerto Rico
On April 14, 2026, José Julio Rodríguez-Cumba, also known by several aliases including "Chambi" and "Patrón," pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise. The criminal activities spanned from 2011 through May 2024. Rodríguez-Cumba was formally charged by way of information and arrested on October 4, 2021, in the District of Puerto Rico.
