Council appoints new EPPO prosecutors for Germany and Slovenia
The Council has appointed two new prosecutors to the European Public Prosecutor's Office, naming Christopher Wenzl for Germany and Tanja Frank Eler for Slovenia. The two appointments are for a non-renewable term of six years. Wenzl will take office on 1 November 2026. His appointment follows the move of Andrés Ritter, the current German European Prosecutor, to the post of European Chief Prosecutor in March 2026, effective from 1 November 2026.
