Romania shoots down drone after airspace breach near Padina
Romania said on Friday that it shot down a drone that entered its airspace, in what officials described as the first such interception since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The incident took place near the village of Padina, about 114 kilometres from Bucharest, according to the defence ministry. President Nicusor Dan said the drone was brought down by a Romanian pilot flying an F-16.He said the area was uninhabited, allowing the aircraft to fire from above.
