Over 816,000 Displaced in Lebanon Amid Israeli Airstrike Campaign, UNHCR Warns
The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has confirmed that over 816,700 people have been registered as displaced within Lebanon due to recent Israeli airstrikes. The displacement crisis has left many families without safe shelter, as collective government-designated shelters are now nearly 90% occupied. The humanitarian situation is deteriorating rapidly, with UNHCR highlighting severe funding shortages, only 14% of the required funds for aid operations in Lebanon have been secured.
