Georgian National Sentenced to 15 Years in Brooklyn for Hate Crime Solicitation

Michail Chkhikvishvili, a Georgian national also known as "Commander Butcher," was sentenced earlier today in federal court in Brooklyn to 15 years in prison. United States District Judge Carol Bagley Amon imposed the sentence for soliciting hate crimes and distributing instructions to make bombs and ricin. The court described Chkhikvishvili as a leader of Maniac Murder Cult, an international racially motivated violent extremist group also known as "Maniacs Murder Cult," "Maniacs: Cult of Killing," "MKY," "MMC," and "MKU."
