Georgian National Sentenced to 15 Years in Brooklyn for Hate Crime Solicitation

Michail Chkhikvishvili, a Georgian national also known as "Commander Butcher," was sentenced earlier today in federal court in Brooklyn to 15 years in prison. United States District Judge Carol Bagley Amon imposed the sentence for soliciting hate crimes and distributing instructions to make bombs and ricin.

The court described Chkhikvishvili as a leader of Maniac Murder Cult, an international racially motivated violent extremist group also known as "Maniacs Murder Cult," "Maniacs: Cult of Killing," "MKY," "MMC," and "MKU." The source says he recruited others to commit violent acts in furtherance of MKY's ideologies. The case also involved planning and soliciting a mass casualty attack in New York City.

The source says Chkhikvishvili was extradited from Moldova to the Eastern District of New York in May 2025 and pleaded guilty in November. No further operational details of the planned attack are given in the source.

The reported sentence closes the federal case in Brooklyn on the charges described.
