UAE backs marine protection measures at IMO committee session in London
The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in the 84th session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee in London. The session was organised by the International Maritime Organisation as MEPC 84. According to the source, several proposals submitted by the UAE were adopted with the support of a majority of member states. Among the adopted measures was a resolution focused on protecting the marine environment in the Arabian Sea, the Sea of Oman and the Gulf region.
