EU adopts fourth EPF assistance measure for Mauritania worth EUR 20 million
The Council has adopted a fourth assistance measure under the European Peace Facility in support of Mauritania, with a value of EUR 20 million. The decision provides the Mauritanian armed forces with military equipment and follows three previously adopted assistance measures. According to the Council, the measures are meant to support the Mauritanian armed forces in promoting stability in the Sahel, countering the risk of destabilisation, and protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Mauritania and its civilian population.
