The UK Ministry of Defence has announced a £500,000 investment to strengthen support for victims of sexual violence and misconduct in the Armed Forces. This funding will add five permanent posts to the Victim Witness Care Unit (VWCU), enabling it to support about 100 more cases each year. The VWCU offers independent, trauma-informed care to victims and witnesses, operating outside military command chains to ensure impartiality.
