U.S. Strategic Command launches Global Thunder 27 nuclear readiness exercise
Strategic Command has officially commenced its annual nuclear command and control exercise, Global Thunder 27, at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The command says the operation is designed to rigorously test and validate the nation's nuclear command, control and operational readiness. USSTRATCOM said the exercise engages joint-force personnel across the entire strategic landscape, bringing together all components, subordinate units and specialized task forces.
