U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers intercepted a major drug shipment on March 2 at the Otay Mesa Cargo Facility near San Diego. They seized more than 900 pounds of liquid methamphetamine hidden ingeniously inside the fuel tank of a tractor-trailer attempting to enter the United States from Mexico. The tractor-trailer was driven by a 26-year-old Mexican national who was sent for additional inspection after initial screening raised suspicions.
