On February 15, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Raul H. Castro Port of Entry in Douglas, Arizona, stopped a 24-year-old U.S. citizen driving a Dodge Ram 1500 who was attempting to enter Mexico. Upon further inspection, officers found seven AK-47 rifles and 11,000 rounds of ammunition concealed in several packages inside the vehicle. The weapons and the vehicle were confiscated, and the driver was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security Investigations for further legal action.
