UNODC trains Haitian police on firearms trafficking response in Cap-Haïtien
From 20 to 22 April 2026, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, through its Global Firearms Programme, delivered a specialized training on illicit firearms trafficking and the criminal justice response in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. The activity took place under the ENFORCE project and was framed as support for the implementation of the United Nations arms embargo on Haiti. The training was designed to strengthen national capacity to detect, investigate and prosecute firearms trafficking offences. It brought together officers from the Haitian National Police, including personnel from specialized units such as SPAF, with participants travelling from both Cap-Haïtien and Port-au-Prince....
