A 77-year-old man was fined after assaulting and threatening a female traffic warden in Welshpool, Powys.The incident occurred at the Seven Stars car park in November 2025 and was captured on body-worn camera footage.Stephen Doughty became agitated when a pay-and-display machine rejected his coins, leading to a confrontation with traffic warden Wendy Williams.Court footage showed Doughty repeatedly slapping Williams' hand and verbally abusing her.Doughty admitted to assault by beating and was fined £500.He was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation to Williams.The court heard that the attack happened after Williams checked her handheld device and found Doughty had not...
