UAE ranks first in Middle East EV sales for second straight year
The UAE has ranked first in the Middle East for electric vehicle sales for the second consecutive year, according to the International Energy Agency's Global EV Outlook 2026 report. The report said the UAE accounted for nearly 50 percent of total EV sales across the region. The result was presented by WAM from Abu Dhabi on 22nd May, 2026. It was described as evidence of the country's expanding role in regional sustainable mobility and future technologies.
