Modi speaks to Kuwait emir after airport attack and West Asia escalation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken by phone with Kuwait's emir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, as tensions in West Asia continue to rise. The call came after an Iranian attack on Kuwait International Airport that reportedly killed an Indian national and injured more than 60 people. India said the leaders discussed the evolving security situation and the need for de-escalation.According to an official statement, Modi expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and reiterated India's condemnation of attacks on Kuwait's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
