Reno wildfire forces mass evacuations as fire remains uncontained
Around 42,000 people have been ordered to leave their homes immediately as a wildfire on the outskirts of Reno, Nevada, continues to spread, with a further 45,000 told to prepare to evacuate. Officials said the fire had burned about 10,500 acres by Sunday evening and remained 0% contained. The blaze was first reported on Saturday morning and has already injured six people.Governor Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency in Washoe County and ordered the Nevada National Guard to support firefighting and law enforcement efforts.
