Prince Harry sued for defamation by charity Sentebale

Sentebale, a charity co-founded by Prince Harry, has filed a defamation lawsuit against him and former trustee Mark Dyer, court records show.
The legal action was lodged on 24 March 2026 and made public in early April.
The charity alleges an "adverse media campaign" orchestrated by the defendants has caused reputational harm and disruption to its leadership and operations.
Sentebale seeks the court's intervention, protection, and restitution against what it describes as coordinated media attacks.
Prince Harry and Mark Dyer have not responded publicly to the claims.
The dispute follows Prince Harry's departure from the charity in March 2025 amid disagreements with the charity's chair, Sophie Chandauka, and other trustees.
The conflict escalated over management and governance issues, leading to public accusations and an investigation by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
The regulator found fault on all sides and criticised the public nature of the dispute for damaging the charity's reputation and jeopardising its ability to serve beneficiaries.
Sentebale was established in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to support young people in Botswana and Lesotho, particularly those living with HIV and AIDS.
