Israeli Drone Strikes Kill at Least Seven Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli drone strikes early on April 11, 2026, killed at least seven Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, targeting central and southern areas including refugee camps and displacement sites.
An Israeli drone fired two missiles near a police post in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, hitting a group of civilians in the "Block 9" area, according to a spokesman for Gaza's civil defence rescue service.
Medical sources confirmed several fatalities and serious injuries from this strike.
Ambulance crews faced difficult conditions transporting the bodies and wounded to nearby hospitals.
The al-Aqsa hospital in central Gaza received six bodies and seven wounded individuals, including four in critical condition.
The nearby al-Awda hospital admitted one fatality and two wounded patients.
In southern Gaza, a drone strike targeted a tent housing displaced persons in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, wounding three people who were treated at the Nasser Medical Complex.
Additional Israeli artillery shelling and heavy tank fire were reported near Bani Suheila and east of Gaza City.
These attacks occur amid ongoing hostilities in Gaza, where the death toll has surpassed 72,300 since October 2023, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
Despite a ceasefire implemented last October, violence has persisted, with at least 738 deaths recorded since then.
The recent strikes highlight the fragile security situation in Gaza and the continuing impact on civilians, including those in refugee camps and displaced persons' shelters.
United Nations human rights chief Volker Turk condemned the recent violence, citing an "unrelenting pattern of killings" and "sweeping impunity" by Israeli forces.
