Woman raped outside church in Surrey after leaving nightclub

A woman in her 20s was raped by several men outside Epsom Methodist Church in Surrey during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The attack occurred between 2am and 4am BST after the victim left Labyrinth Epsom nightclub.
Surrey Police confirmed the woman was followed from the nightclub before the assault took place on Ashley Road, near the church.
The investigation is ongoing, with officers conducting extensive inquiries to identify and locate the suspects.
The victim is receiving support from specialist officers, including a Sexual Offences Liaison Officer, as she deals with the distressing aftermath.
Police described her as very shaken by the incident.
Detective Inspector Aine Matthews said the investigation is in its early stages but progressing rapidly.
She urged anyone who was in the area between 2am and 4am and may have seen or spoken to a woman in distress to come forward.
The police currently do not have full descriptions of the suspects but are working at pace to develop their understanding of the individuals involved.
