Dan Walker faces employment tribunal over bullying claim by ex co-host

TV presenter Dan Walker is scheduled to appear at an employment tribunal starting April 20 in London following bullying allegations made by his former Channel 5 News co-host Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije.

The claim also includes accusations of sexism and misogyny.

Alongside Walker, ITN, the producer of Channel 5 News, and Channel 5's owner Paramount are named as respondents.

ITN CEO Rachel Corp is also listed as a respondent.

Walker denies all allegations and has submitted more than 50 character witness statements in his defence.

A previous internal investigation into the claims found no evidence of misconduct.

The tribunal is expected to last for five weeks.

Vanderpuije left Channel 5 News in 2024, having co-hosted alongside Walker since 2022.

ITN has stated that the claim is "denied in full" and will be addressed through the tribunal process.
