Rapper Offset Performs at Coachella Days After Being Shot

US rapper Offset performed at the Coachella music festival in California nearly a week after being shot outside a casino in Florida.

The former Migos member spent most of his set in a wheelchair but was able to stand and walk around the stage unaided during his performance.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was hospitalised following the shooting outside Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood on 6 April.

The Seminole Police Department has detained two individuals in connection with the incident, including rapper Lil TJay, who has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Offset's mother described him as a "miracle walking" after his Coachella appearance.

Two days before the festival, Offset posted on social media expressing gratitude for support and focusing on his recovery and family.

His performance at Coachella is notable as it demonstrates his determination to return to music despite recent serious injury.

The festival weekend also saw other significant performances, including Canadian popstar Justin Bieber's return to live shows after a four-year hiatus due to health issues.

Additionally, girl band KATSEYE made their Coachella debut without their sixth member, who is on hiatus, and Colombian artist Karol G made history as the first Latina to headline the festival, highlighting increasing diversity in the music scene.
