Madonna surprises fans with guest appearance at Coachella

Madonna made a surprise guest appearance at the Coachella music festival during Sabrina Carpenter's headline set on Friday night.
The pop icon joined Carpenter on stage for a duet, performing hits including Vogue and Like A Prayer, as well as a song from her newly announced album, Confessions II.
The performance came after days of speculation about Madonna's involvement at the festival held in the Colorado desert in California.
On Wednesday, Madonna officially confirmed the release of Confessions II, a sequel to her 2005 album Confessions On A Dance Floor.
During the set, Madonna and Carpenter performed the 1990 house hit Vogue, followed by I Feel So Free from Madonna's new album.
Madonna reflected on her history with Coachella, noting that it was exactly 20 years ago that she first performed at the festival in the dance tent, marking the American debut of Confessions On A Dance Floor.
She described the return as a "full circle moment" and shared a brief discussion about the astrology of the New Moon in Taurus with Carpenter.
The two artists then performed Like A Prayer together, with Madonna humorously noting it was the first time she had performed with someone shorter than herself.
Madonna's previous Coachella appearances include a 2006 performance in the Sahara Tent and a guest spot during Drake's 2015 set.
