Non-hazardous Suspicious Items Found Near Israeli Embassy in London

Suspicious items including jars containing a powdered substance were found near the Israeli embassy in London and have been declared non-hazardous by the Metropolitan Police.
The discovery prompted the temporary closure of nearby Kensington Gardens while specialist officers conducted investigations.
The items were found following a social media video posted by the Iran-affiliated Islamist group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia.
The video threatened drone attacks on the embassy using "dangerous substances" and showed imagery of the embassy with a target overlay and individuals in hazmat suits operating drones.
The embassy confirmed it had not been attacked and that its staff were safe.
Police have not linked the suspicious items directly to any attack on the embassy.
Counter-terrorism officers remain engaged in inquiries to determine any connection between the items and the online threat.
Commander Helen Flanagan of Counter Terrorism Policing London acknowledged public concern and thanked residents for their understanding during the police operation.
Specialist units deployed during the investigation included the Metropolitan Police's chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear team, underwater and confined space search divers, London Fire Brigade's fire investigation dogs, and the London Ambulance Service's hazardous area response team.
