FBI Director Kash Patel sues The Atlantic for $250 million defamation over drinking allegations

FBI Director Kash Patel has filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic magazine and its author Sarah Fitzpatrick.

Since his appointment as FBI director, Patel has faced accusations of purging agents perceived as disloyal to former President Donald Trump, including those involved in criminal cases against Trump after he left office in 2021.

The lawsuit highlights tensions between Patel and media outlets reporting on his conduct and leadership.
