Two trains collide head-on near Copenhagen, multiple injuries reported

Emergency services responded promptly, with the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department reporting four people critically injured and 12 others sustaining minor injuries.
All passengers were evacuated from the trains.
Some of the critically injured were airlifted to the National Hospital in Copenhagen, according to local officials.
The local mayor, Trine Egetved, expressed shock at the incident and emphasized the importance of preventing such accidents in the future.
The collision took place on a line frequently used by commuters, workers, and students in the Gribskov municipality.

Images from the scene showed the front ends of both trains crushed but still upright on the tracks.
