Two children die in house fire in Wolverhampton

Two young children died in a house fire in Wolverhampton on Friday evening.
Emergency services were called to a property on Mason Street at about 20:30 BST.
Firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service entered the house and rescued the children, but they were pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency care.
Two other children and a woman had already escaped the house before emergency services arrived.
They were checked by West Midlands Ambulance Service but did not require hospital treatment.
The fire caused extensive damage to the property, which has been cordoned off by West Midlands Police.
Police have established a cordon around the scene as they work to determine the exact circumstances of the fire.
The cordon is expected to remain in place for some time while inquiries continue.
West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that medics worked rapidly to administer advanced life support to the two children after their rescue, but both were confirmed dead shortly after.
