Colorado suspect pleads guilty to murder charges over Boulder firebombing
Mohamed Soliman has pleaded guilty to murder charges over the June 2025 firebombing attack in Boulder, Colorado, that targeted demonstrators supporting Israeli captives in Gaza.
The plea was entered on Thursday in a case that has drawn renewed attention to the attack and its aftermath.
Soliman, a 46-year-old Egyptian citizen, was accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at the demonstrators.
He has faced more than 100 state criminal charges linked to the incident, and has also been charged with federal hate crime offences.
An 82-year-old woman, Karen Diamond, later died from wounds sustained in the attack.
Prosecutors said Soliman pleaded guilty to two categories of murder charges connected to her death, both of which carry life sentences.
The case remains significant because it combines a mass-casualty criminal prosecution with wider political and immigration disputes.
It has also prompted renewed calls for the Trump administration to stop efforts to deport Soliman's family.
Authorities have said Soliman's wife and five children had no prior knowledge of the attack and condemned it.
