In Gaza, Israeli strikes hit residential buildings overnight and killed at least eight people, while civil defence teams said they had recovered 112 bodies from rubble in Sabra, in Gaza City. The violence came as ceasefire talks continued and the humanitarian toll mounted further.  🔗  🔗

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians, including two children, in overnight and predawn raids, while settlers were reported to have injured a couple near Ramallah. The arrests and attacks added to already high tensions across the territory.  🔗

Russia faced a deadly security shock after an explosion near a cafe and restaurant in central Moscow killed at least three people and injured 15 to 21 others, according to separate reports. In Africa, the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo has now passed 1,500 official deaths as transmission accelerates, according to authorities.
