Federal jury convicts Pensacola man in armed drug trafficking case
A federal jury in Pensacola, Florida convicted Jovon "Playa Pat" Booker, 33, of two firearm charges tied to drug trafficking. The counts were discharging a handgun in relation to a drug trafficking crime and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Before the jury was selected, Booker pleaded guilty in the same federal case to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. He also pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Booker additionally pleaded guilty to five counts of money laundering through high-end jewelry purchases. The source says he is from Pensacola, Florida, and that the proceedings took place in federal court in Pensacola.
