In Ukraine, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has been without external electricity for more than a week, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency, raising fresh concern over safety at the Russian occupied site. The plant is still relying on backup systems while the off site power cut continues.  🔗

In the Middle East, the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed to commercial traffic as the war involving Iran disrupts Gulf energy flows, keeping a key global shipping route under severe strain.
